About rezqd
Last updated July 31, 2026
rezqd started with a simple observation: running a venue is hard, and the busywork around it — juggling reservations, floor plans, and keeping guests in the loop — takes time that should go toward the guests actually in the room.
Where it started
The idea grew out of two very different worlds. One is a family restaurant business that's been open since 1974 and is still running today — enough time behind a host stand and in a dining room to know exactly how chaotic a busy event night gets with nothing but a paper list and a phone that won't stop ringing. The other is a career spent designing functionally stunning graphical UIs and untangling complex technical systems — the kind of work that trains you to look at a big, messy problem and find the pattern underneath it.
Why rezqd
Put those two things together, and rezqd is the result — software built by someone who's actually worked a busy night, not just imagined one. Every part of it — the floor plan builder, the reservation flow, the guest messaging — is aimed at cutting out the manual work that eats into a small venue's night, so the people running it can focus on the room instead of the spreadsheet.
rezqd is still early and still growing, built by one venue's real feedback at a time. If you run a venue and event management feels like it's eating more of your week than it should, that's exactly who this is for.
